nicholson single / double cut flat files combine two operations in one tool: a bastard cut on one face for fast stock removal and a smooth cut on the opposite face for accurate finishing. the rectangular cross-section, slightly tapered toward the point, improves access to slots. double-cut faces and single-cut edges, together with the special tooth geometry, reduce clogging and enhance filing efficiency.
