Shipping and delivery

This page summarises the main information regarding shipping, order preparation times, delivery and transport costs for orders placed on Consiglio Shop.

1. Countries served

Consiglio Abrasivi Srl ships to Italy and to the foreign countries available during checkout.

Shipping availability may vary depending on destination, weight, volume, product type and available transport methods.

If a country cannot be selected during checkout, shipping to that destination is not currently available through online order placement. For specific requests, please contact customer service at info@consiglioabrasivi.com.

2. Order preparation

For products available in stock, the order is normally prepared and handed over to the carrier within 48 working hours from order confirmation or, in case of advance payment, from actual receipt of payment.

The 48-hour period refers to the normal preparation and handover of the goods to the carrier, not necessarily to final delivery to the Customer.

For products not immediately available, products ordered on request, customised products, bulky items or orders with specific technical requirements, preparation times may be longer. In these cases, the Customer will be informed before shipment or in the order confirmation.

3. Estimated delivery times

Delivery times are estimates and start from the moment the goods are handed over to the carrier.

As an indication:

  • Italy: from 2 to 11 working days;
  • European countries served: generally from 3 to 11 working days, depending on destination;
  • other available destinations: times vary depending on country and transport service.

Actual times may vary depending on destination, product availability, shipment weight and volume, holidays, peak periods, customs checks, force majeure events or delays not attributable to the Seller.

Any more specific delivery times are shown during checkout or in the order confirmation.

4. Shipping costs

Shipping costs are calculated based on destination, weight, volume, order value, product type and available transport service.

The shipping cost is always shown in the cart or during checkout, before final order confirmation.

Where applicable, any promotions or free shipping thresholds, including free shipping for orders over €150, are applied automatically and shown before order confirmation.

For particularly heavy, bulky, fragile or customised products, or for destinations that are difficult to reach, specific transport conditions may apply. These are always shown before the order is completed or communicated to the Customer for approval.

5. Delivery method

Delivery is made by express courier, carrier or another transport provider selected by the Seller according to the destination and type of goods.

The Customer must provide a complete and correct delivery address where a person authorised to receive the goods is available.

Any costs arising from incorrect addresses, absence of the recipient, storage, redelivery or changes requested after handover to the carrier may be charged to the Customer.

6. Checking the goods upon delivery

Upon delivery, the Customer is invited to check:

  • that the number of parcels matches the transport documents;
  • that the packaging is intact, not wet, not opened, not crushed and not tampered with;
  • that there is no visible damage.

In case of damaged, opened, wet, crushed or tampered packaging, the Customer must accept delivery with a specific reservation, clearly indicating the problem on the carrier’s document.

Examples of specific reservation:

  • “Accepted with reservation due to damaged packaging”
  • “Accepted with reservation due to opened parcel”
  • “Accepted with reservation due to wet packaging”
  • “Accepted with reservation due to crushed parcel”

A generic reservation, such as “accepted with reservation”, may not be sufficient to allow proper handling of a claim against the carrier.

7. Failed delivery or delays

In case of delivery delay, the Customer may contact Consiglio Abrasivi Srl at info@consiglioabrasivi.com, indicating the order number.

The Seller undertakes to assist in checking the shipment status, without prejudice to the fact that any delays caused by the carrier, force majeure events or circumstances not attributable to the Seller do not constitute direct liability of the Seller, except for any mandatory rights granted to Consumers by applicable law.

8. Unavailable products or partial deliveries

If one or more ordered products are not immediately available, the Seller may propose to the Customer:

  • waiting for availability;
  • partial delivery of available products;
  • replacement with an equivalent product, if accepted by the Customer;
  • total or partial cancellation of the order with refund of any amounts already paid.
