vulkollan® flap contact wheels are manufactured with vulkollan® lamellas mounted on an aluminium hub and are mainly intended for manual or automated operations on soft metals such as brass, aluminium, zinc alloys and bronze. the flexibility of the vulkollan® lamellas allows excellent conformity to profiled surfaces, ensuring uniform finishing while maximising abrasive belt performance and extending belt life. available in three hardness grades (a 20/25 shore, b 30/35 shore, c 40/45 shore – standard shore b) and, on request, with customised lamella angle and thickness. also available in a smooth version.

centrifugal expansion contact wheels are mainly used in the footwear industry and in wood processing on toupie-type machines. the centrifugal expansion during rotation allows proper abrasive belt tensioning and uniform contact with the workpiece. sizes 140×35 mm and 140×50 mm are supplied with a 30 mm bore and hub, while for other sizes reduction bushes are available from 35 mm to 16, 20, 25 and 25.4 mm, and from 50 mm also to 30 mm. a versatile and practical solution for specific sanding applications on wood and related materials.
