The edding 8890 mechanical carpenter pencil is a robust, refillable and long-lasting alternative to the classic wooden carpenter pencil, designed for professional markings on different materials such as wood, cardboard, stone, concrete and bricks.
Its extra-robust aluminium barrel makes it suitable for everyday use on construction sites, in workshops, carpentry, installation work and general manual applications. The replaceable rectangular 2 x 5 mm lead works particularly well on hard and rough materials, helps prevent breaking and allows precise edge guidance. The stroke width specified by edding is 2–5 mm.
The lead tip can be easily sharpened or shaped with sandpaper or a hard stone, depending on the marking required. The push-button mechanism automatically advances the lead, making the pencil quick and convenient to use during work. The protective holster with clip allows the pencil to be attached to work clothes and kept ready to hand. The hexagonal barrel shape also helps prevent it from rolling away.
The pencil is supplied ready to use with an HB graphite lead and is refillable with edding 8891 refill leads, available separately in sets of 6 in HB and 10H hardnesses for different surfaces and applications.
