Ventilated polishing discs
ventilated polishing wheels are made by pleating cotton, cloth or sisal and fixing the resulting disc onto a central metal flange. available in 150, 200, 250, 300 and 400 mm diameters, compared to stitched wheels, they are thinner and more flexible and can be stacked to achieve the desired tool thickness. suitable for both manual and automated processes, their ventilated construction significantly reduces workpiece overheating. available in sisal for roughing, sisal/cotton, cotton for finishing and soft cotton for mirror finishing.
